Am 7. Oktober geht es dann mal los nach Afrika. Und obwohl ich mich natürlich freue, hab ich gleichzeitig auch Angst vor dem, was mich da erwartet.
Was ich nur empfehlen kann, ist Folgendes: es tut gut, mit einer Freundin hinzugehen. Und sich bei Praktikanten zu informieren, die vorher schon einmal dort waren, ist auch ganz gut. Obwohl ich ja denke, man kann sich auf den wahrscheinlich kommenden Kulturschock gar nicht richtig vorbereiten.
Jedenfalls rückt der Abschied von Deutschland immer näher ...
At October 7th we'll start off to Africa. And even though I am of course very excited, I'm also afraid of what is waiting for us there.
What I can definitely recommend is the following: it's good to go with a friend. And to get some information by an intern who has already been at your future work place. Although I guess you can't really prepare for the cultural shock we'll probably have to experience.
Anyway ... the goodbye from germany keeps getting closer!
