Unsere Arbeit im Waisenhaus

Mittlerweile sind einige Tage vergangen und wir haben bereits einige Male im Waisenhaus gearbeitet. Wir kommen dort etwa um zehn Uhr an, verbringen mit den Kindern die Pause, indem wir mit ihnen spielen, unterrichten sie dann fuer eine Stunde (in so etwa allem, was uns einfaellt) und sind dann noch beim Essen bei ihnen. Was bedeutet, dass unser Arbeitstag etwa um ein Uhr schon wieder beendet ist. 
Man merkt, dass die Kinder sich sehr darueber freuen, dass wir da sind und die meisten Kinder in unserer Klasse arbeiten wirklich gut mit. Wir unterrichten allerdings auch die aeltesten Kinder, also diejenigen, die um die zehn Jahre alt sind, was bedeutet, dass man mit ihnen schon viel machen kann. So etwas wie Englisch, Mathe, Social Studies (oder unter was faellt es, ihnen in muehsamer Kleinarbeit zu erklaeren, was Schnee ist?? :) ) ...
Wirklich anstrengend, zumindest bei dem momentan staendigen Regen, ist allerdings der Fussweg zum Waisenhaus. Denn der fuehrt vor allem durch Matsch. Doch wenn man bedenkt, dass die Menschen hier um diesen Matsch herum leben, sollte man sich darueber wirklich nicht beschweren!

By now, some days have passed and we have already worked at the orphanage for a few times. We arrive there at about 10 o'clock in the morning, spend their break with the children by playing with them, teach them for about an hour afterwards (about pretty much everything we can think of) and stay with them for lunch. Which means that our work ends at about 1 o'clock. 
You can tell, these children are very happy about us being there and most children in our class are really good to work with. We are teaching the oldest children who are around ten years old which means that you can do a lot of stuff with them. Like English, Maths, Social Studies (or howdo you call trying to let them know, what snow is?? :) ). 
Really hard, at least with all the rains that is falling these times, is the walk to the orphanage. Because there you mainly walk through a whole lot of mud. But thinking of the fact that all the people over here are living around that mud, you really shouldn't complain!
